Digital energy meets a power place: computer-generated artistic films and prints give insight into the 870-year-old history of the Schoenthal Monastery, which is regarded as a “place of spiritual power”. The Swiss artist Maya Vonmoos is considered to be one of the earliest exponents of electronic art because of the “painting” instruments that she acquired at the Pratt Institute of Arts. The exhibition includes animated films and digitized images which Vonmoos causes to dance and radiate in the church space by means of her own vocabulary of movements and colours.
